RotoView Data View/Setup

The Data View/Setup window monitors the communication with the RotoView sensor unit. Use this window to evaluate the raw sensor data and troubleshoot the connection. To view the Data View/Setup window, click on the Expand/Contract button (if you are not already in Expanded Mode), and then click on the Data View/Setup button. Or, right-click anywhere on the Main Module and select Data View/Setup.

The following window should appear:

The Data View/Setup window lets you control the red and green LEDs provided on the RotoView unit, change Timer 2 and Timer 3 settings, change the number of ADC samples, and change the polling interval that the RotoView Development System refreshes its data from RotoView.

Click on the checkboxes to turn on/off the red and green LEDs on the RotoView unit. This is a good way to see that RotoView and your PC can communicate. Of course, you must have a USB connection established to communicate.

Timer 2 controls the rate at which an ADC sample is performed. The default setting is 5 mS (milliseconds). You can change the Timer 2 rate by entering a number between 0 and 65, and then clicking on the Set button. Timer 3 controls our "ticker" rate, which is labeled as T in the Data box. The default setting for Timer 3 is 10 mS. You can change the Timer 3 rate in the same fashion as Timer 2. The range for Timer 3 is also 0 to 65 mS.

The ADC Average control lets you get more accurate and stable values from your RotoView unit. The default setting is 1 sample per RotoView Development System poll.

The Polling box allows you to change the rate that the RotoView Development System communicates with RotoView.

Save (*.log) files so you can view and print the raw data sent to your PC. The (*.log) files are important for research and assist in technical support.
