Rotation Sensor Setup Tutorial
The rotation sensor setup parameters used with
the RotoView algorithms convert the tilt readings to actual scrolling
magnitudes. You can experiment with these parameters to build your preferred
display navigation profile.
Tutorial 3.1:
Experimenting with the Rotation Sensor Setup
- Step 1. Tap More to reach the Setup
menu.
- Step 2. Scroll down to the Rotation Sensor
Setup group. Tap any of the three items in this group to reach the Sensor setup
menu.
- Step 3. Base line update is part of the tilt
conversion algorithm. You can turn it off or change the update rate when it is
active.
- Step 4. The rotational threshold ignores minute
hand trembles and is further explained in Fig. 1 of the
NLDR page. The setting represent the angle movements in radians below which
the algorithm does not change the view.
- Step 5. The accelerometer frequency determines
both the rate at which data is acquired from the shared accelerometer and the
view rendering rate.
- Step 6. Tap the top right RotoView
button to return to the main view and experiment with your new settings.
